Water of Life :D I know... I could have used Red Potion, but the old-school, geeky, NES side in me kept screaming "Water of Life!" lol

I really wish I could draw as well as you.

Lol, classic nostalgia wins I understand.

To me, it looks as though this is the first time Link is fighting Ganondorf. Has he forgotten his other battles? Or did I forget what I read previously? =0

EDIT: I love and do not love how I can answer my own questions after I post a comment. >~<

The Legend of Zelda franchise has spawned many games, but each of those games take place in a different era in Hyrule's timeline. For this reason, there were a number of heroes in green tunics by the name of Link who starred in the various games. For example, the Hero of Time, the Hero of Winds, the Link from the NES Zelda game, and the Link from the SNES Zelda game... each of them are different because they live in different eras, however their objectives are generally the same. It's the same with other characters throughout the series, such as Princess Zelda, Impa, and few others. The only exception is Ganondorf, since he's the one who always returns in an attempt to obtain the Triforce.

Now, in this comic, this Link is original. He's not from a Zelda game per se... he's just another hero from another time in Hyrule's history just like the heroes you've seen in the games. I made up a different background for him because of this, too. This is why some OCs are in the comic, like Lucia the Forest Fairy and the Sheikah warrior Orkano. That's also why we have a different Goron Patriarch as well as a different Zora of Royalty (Darwin and Raul). If the Link in this comic was the Hero of Time, you would have surely seen Zelda's alter-ego, Sheik, by now. You also would have seen the warrior Impa as well as other Ocarina of Time characters. Or if this was Hero of Winds, you would have definitely seen Tetra and the pirates by now. Or if this was Twilight Princess Link, Midna would have been seen. But this Link is a fresh face from my own originality. He's known about Ganondorf only through legend. He's never seen him before. All he knows is that the legendary heroes in the past that he descended from have had to face Ganondorf, and now it's his turn to face him and put an end to his evils.

My reasons for making up a Link rather than use one from a particular game was because it would be easier to map out a Mario/Zelda storyline that way. Even though I made up this Link, he still carries the same traditional characteristics. Being an incarnation of the heroes, he would have to. The Princess Zelda and Impa in this comic are also different from the ones who have appeared in games, though they are strongly similar to their incarnations.

Hope that clears a few things. And my apologies if I may have confused you...lol

When you think about it, that makes Ganondorf a particulary BAD villain.

Time and time again, it's always the same Ganon that comes back. He sees the signs, he knows who defeats him, he knows how to find them. He knows how to beat them.

The only time Ganondorf has ever taken advantage of this was in Wind Waker. Every other time he always treats Link & Zelda liek children that he can just brush aside, and that always gets him beat.

Some king of evil. You know a bunch of 12 year olds can beat you, yet you do nothing about it. And that's really all he has to do to win, DO SOMETHING. Take them out ASAP rather than all the elaborate schemes.
