Introducing BLIND THE THIEF!!!

Straight out of the town of thieves, his monstrous appearance symbolizes that of a vampire bat due to his hatred for light (as well as a pun on his name). The boss of the fourth Dark World dungeon in A Link to the Past shall take on the main heroes of this comic. What sort of tricks does THIS guy have up his sleeve?

Remember to be sure to check the News Post for some interesting news regarding the comic. Thanks, guys :)

Haha, my girlfriend was playing LttP on the ride to her house a while ago, and before I read this page I thought of this...

God! I hated Blind! His fight was so frustrating with all of his heads flying around. Kill it with fire!!!

Thank goodness it's not Doopliss. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of Doopliss, but I just can't see him working for a jerk, like Ganondorf (no offense, Ganon)! Sure, Doopliss might of did some things he should be ashamed of, but he's not actually evil (he even becomes an actor at the end of Paper Mario: TTYD). In my opinion, he's more of the crafty trickster who can cause mischief, but can also do good deeds every now and then.

Blind, on the other hand, is the living embodiment of the criminal essence! He shuns the light, never passes an opportunity to deceive others to their doom, and, on top of that, he's a thief!

In other words, I think it was a wise choice to use Blind instead of Doopliss since Blind is actually evil, while Doopliss is just one of those guys who likes to stir up some practically harmless trouble. However, I am looking forward to seeing Doopliss in this comic. Hopefully, he'll serve more of a helpful guide roll to Mario and friends instead of being another antagonist who swiftly meets his demise.

Thanks, E-Man. And I'll be honest with you. When I was thinking about shape-shifting antagonists from both series, Doopliss did come to mind at one point. But I do remember beating Thousand-Year Door, and Doopliss just wasn't sinister enough to be a huge threat so close to the end. Plus, I thought it would be more interesting to see another face from Zelda. Although I can't say whether or not Doopliss will make an appearance in this comic (especially it being close to the climax and all), however I can guarantee that this scene will contain some interesting surprises. :)

Awesome switch-a-roo pull my friend. I have only gotten so far in Zelda: Link to the Past, so I didn't know this guy was the boss of dungeon four.

I remember this guy, he was a total jerk as I recall.

He said it wasn't a Mario character... And yet everyone insisted on guessing Mario characters. This was my second guess. I don't know why, but my first guess was Aghanim(the name popped in my head in the first two seconds). When I actually thought about it though, Blind is one of Zelda's only shape shifters...

I miss Doopliss... Why can't Doopliss come back in some game.Like the new Paper Mario.

I forgot about that guy.

blind is a hard boss. I thought of baby bowser because of the head turn.

Reply rainbowcrayon, October 15th, 2010, 10:31 am

Definitely never would have guessed this, nice surprise!! I was wracking by brains for who it could be, but I couldn't think of anyone! I was mostly focusing on console games as opposed to hand-held games, though.

Reply Thriller Man, October 15th, 2010, 1:10 pm

Thanks :)

Well, A Link to the Past was also a console game. But to be honest, I think only a few people probably would have guessed this surprise. And the funny thing is that this isn't even the most surprising part of this scene

Oh, you're totally right. I've only ever played the version for GBA, though.
